The Centurion Semi Professional was one of the top models of a brand which is best known on the US west coast.
When in 1969 in California the company WSI (Western States Import) was founded, they established the brand Centurion to bring high class bikes to the US market. Their bikes were made in Japan and - considering the quality - were sold for pretty competitive prices.
The best models had a frame of Tange Champion no1, a legendary tubing that was easily as good as Reynolds 531 or Columbus SL. The quality of their bikes was so good that they offered a life long guarantee and even had a cooperation with Cinelli to sell a Centurion-Cinelli model later in the 1980s
This Semi-Professional from the 1970s is a really sweet bike. Compared with the Professional model it has slightly narrower angles and a longer wheelbase which makes it more comfortable to ride. The condition of the frame is surprisingly nice. In fact it is almost perfect. You hardly find a bike from that time in such a condition.
As for the parts the Semi-Professional offers a range of excellent Japanese components as well as Italian Campagnolo hubs and a stunning golden anodized Galli brake set. This is a road bike for leisure rides, commuting or a historic cycling event alike.
