Few bicycles have influenced the sports cycling scene as much as the Colnago Super. At a time when racing bicycles were averagely heavy with long wheelbases and flat angles, Ernesto Colnago released a frameset which would become a legend of cycling history and one of the top models of his 1970s and 1980s catalogues - the Super.
Made of Columbus SL and SP steel tubes, with a shorter, stiffer and lighter frame, the Colnago Super was designed for high-performance. Since the launch, uncountable racing bicycles have been built with a geometry inspired by the Super.
This particular Colnago Super dates back to the 1980s and the frameset is still in original and great condition. Besides that, the bike underwent a complete check and is basically riding as if it was new.
Regarding the components, this Colnago Super is fully fitted with legendary parts: a Shimano 600 Ultegra it was basically the first 600 groupset which received the 'Ultegra' name and which laid the foundation of the fame of this reliable component line.
Ready for the adventure. And when you twist a screw on the right down tube lever, shifting changes from indexed to friction, practically making the whole bike usable in Eroica events worldwide.
