In the last years of the 20th century, bike manufacturers were looking ahead, exploring new material and introducing one carbon or aluminium model after another. Colnago was no exception, but alongside the cutting edge frames like C40 or CT1 they still offered a frame which embodied the glorious past rather than the promisnig future. It was simply called "Classic" and it represented all the iconic bikes from Cambiago were all about. Based on steel tubes (although slightly oversized) made by Columbus and connected with typical chromed cutout lugs, it resembled the Superissimo models. It couldn't be fitted with another fork than the iconic Precisia with straight blades and completely chromed, of course.
