Beschreibung

Ever since Basso started building bikes in 1981, they have been on the forefront of innovative steel designs with a classic appearance.

The company was founded by three brothers. Marino was a professional cyclist who won the 1972 world championships and numerous podiums in grand tours. He brought the knowledge about how a bike should feel and his name. Renato was an academic philosopher and became the financial manager of the company. The youngest, Alcide was the one who was most interested in the technical aspects of bike building and set up the initial workshop.

The top model in the early years of the company was the Basso Gap later accompanied by the Loto model. A Basso Gap is exactly what we are presenting here.

The carbon steel frame is the trustworthy heart of this machine. Painted in a colour combination which was called Super America and with engraved details, it is quite an impresses classic Italian steel road racer.

The tubing is Columbus SL, which is connected by specially casted lugs. As for the parts there is a highly functional and top class Shimano Dura Ace.

This bike is suitable for anything: relaxed rides, a historic bike race, Sunday escapes... you name it. In our Basso bike you have a real high class bike of the late 1989s. We are dating this bike back to the year 1989 but if you would like to be sure, €20 will buy you an expertise about the frame by the Basso company itself. How cool is that?
