Cannondale has always tried to push the boundaries of classic tube and frame design. One of their innovations was the CAAD design with specially sized and formed tubes.
This is one of those now iconic frames, the Cannondale Caad3, with a massive down tube which widens towards the bottom bracket. The aluminium tubes are welded and then filed for smooth transitions from one to another. In the front is mounted the Cannondale Slice Echelon carbon fork.
This bike is equipped with 9-speed Shimano 105 groupset, which ensures precise gearchanges, smooth drivetrain and powerfull braking. Additionally there is the San Marco matching saddle, Cannondale headset or the Cinelli Eubiòs bars with triangular cross sections on drops (very comfortable).
If you are after a very fast bike which stands apart from the carbon unity of today, this American rocket could be the right choice.
