Beschreibung

One of the most iconic bikes which left the famous factory in Cavenago (Milan, Italy), the first Colnago Mexico was produced to celebrate the 1972 Eddy Merckx world hour record. The Colnago Mexico was slightly different from the Colnago Super - built with even thinner Columbus tubes - but shared with that glorious bike the aggressive racing geometry: short, light and very stiff! The next step in its evolution became the Colnago Nuovo Mexico first released in 1982 and continued in the year 1983 with minor differences. It was built with profiled Columbus SL tubes which had distinctive crimps on the sides of the top and down tube. In the following years the evolution went even further and when the Colnago ESA Mexico hit the market it had six distinctive crimps on the main tubes and chromed headlugs.

Our Colnago ESA Mexico certainly is the rarest of all Mexico models. It has been built for a short time and in small numbers. The superb frame got a new paintjob in vibrant red and white airbrush effect.
It is equipped with last generation Super Record parts which were produced from 1985 to 1987. The whole setup gives the advanced steel frame a very classic touch.
A bike like that is mouthwatering

Checked, lubricated and adjusted: ready to be ridden at the next Eroica! Suitable for all Colnago fans!
If you are looking for a really special Colnago look at this one!
