Beschreibung

One of the most iconic bikes which left the famous factory in Cavenago (Milan, Italy), the Colnago Mexico was produced to celebrate the 1972 Eddy Merckx world hour record. The Colnago Mexico was slightly different from the Colnago Super - built with even thinner Columbus tubes - but shared with that glorious bike the aggressive racing geometry: short, light and very stiff!

The next step in its evolution became the Colnago Nuovo Mexico first released in 1982 and continued until the year 1984 with minor differences. It was built with profiled Columbus SL tubes which had distinctive crimps on the sides of the top and down tube.

This Colnago Mexico dates back to 1982 and is a rare version with a translucent cromovelato paintjob, which was only produced in small numbers.
It has not been refurbished and the original paint still has its lustrous shine.

The bike is also equipped with a top of the line Campagnolo Super Record groupset with many pantographed details. Just take a look at the brakes!

Completely checked in our workshop: Ready to be ridden! Suitable for Eroica events worldwide and for all Colnago collectors.
