De Rosa Professional SLX Vintage Racing Bike

Ugo De Rosa is one of the greatest frame builders of all time. Not only did he supply many champions with his high-end bicycles – Gianni Motta, Eddy Merckx and Francesco Moser, to name a few – but manufactured masterpieces which strongly influenced the cycling industry, just as the De Rosa Professional SLX did .

The Professional SLX is one of the best bicycles of the 1980s. It was manufactured using Columbus SLX steel tubes, a very light and stiff tube-set with inner reinforcements, butted sections and reinforced chain stays. The Professional SLX also marked a turning point in the history of De Rosa, creating the link between traditional and modern steel frame design.

This specific bike arrived at Steel Vintage Bikes in original and very good condition. Equipped with an original Campagnolo Super Record groupset, the bike has been carefully and expertly checked by our mechanics in Berlin. Tires, cables, bar tape and saddle have been replaced with appropriate spare parts.
