In the late 1980s and early 1990s the Eddy Merckx Corsa Extra was one of the best road bike frames and therefore the choice of many professional teams. It dominated the peloton with its extremely well made triangle of light and rigid Columbus SLX or SPX tubes.
Being a more special model, our bike was built with Columbus TSX tubing. Just like its siblings it was a "superbutted" tubeset from Cyclex steel, designed for professional use and famous for its helical reinforcements which went all the way through the inside of top tube and downtube .
This Eddy Merckx Corsa Extra has been produced as as a limited edition frame, made for the 10th anniversary of Eddy Merckx bicycles. The frame was consequently equipped with Campagnolo's best parts which at the time meant: the legendary C-Record groupset including the iconic Delta brakes!
The Bike is an exceptionally good original condition.
The bike has been checked in our workshop and is ready to go.
