The Eddy Merckx Corsa Extra began being produced from 1985, the child of the Eddy Merckx Professional, one of the most popular road bicycle frames ever produced, both dominating Pelotons through the 1980s and early 1990s in the last years of steel's dominance.
The Corsa Extra is made from light and rigid Columbus SLX tubes. The SLX was a "superbutted" tubeset from Cyclex steel, designed for professional use and famous for its helical reinforcements on the ends of the tubes' inside walls.
Our Corsa Extra wears the paint scheme of Team TeVe Blad and has been fitted with a Campagnolo groupset with C-Record components in great condition. The Delta brakes are a stand out on this good looking bike, as are the deep dish wheels.
All parts are working fine, so this Eddy is ready to get back on the road!
