Beschreibung

Gianni Motta – a former professional cyclist and 1966 Giro d'Italia winner – started producing bikes after retiring from competitions. His bikes are known for their reliability and precision.

Precisely filed lugs, refined cutouts and lightweight tubing. These are only a few of the highlights of this Gianni Motta Personal, a top-class racing bike which left the factory in Groppello d'Adda (Milan, Italy) in the 1980s.

The frameset is made of Columbus SL tubes and sports a Gianni Motta chromed fork with pantographed shoulders and octogonal crown. Other specialties of the Motta brand are the dropouts and seat stay caps which are covering the tube ends from the outside rather than being solderd into them. And of course there are the slightly inward bent seat stays which make the rear triangle a bit more aerodynamic as well as compliant.

Regarding the parts, this racing machine is equipped with nothing less than a Shimano Ultegra groupset in great working condition. A technically advanced machine of its time with a legendarily reliable groupset. Whats more, the Shimano hubs are freshly laced with a pair of NOS Ambrosio clincher rims - nice little cherry on top for sure. This bike is ready for everyday riding and weekend touring alike.

The bike has been fully serviced in our workshop and is ready to be ridden.
