Beschreibung

Amulio Mascagni was a frame builder from Livorno, at the Tuscan sea side.
Building bikes strictly to measure at his workshop, he made the machines the ambitious riders of this region dreamed of.
Numerous champions started a career on one of his frames.
His shop existed well into the 1970s and very interesting builds left it, including our Campagnolo Cambio Corsa-equipped lightweight bike.

It is interesting in the way it combines different styles of road bikes.
The frame itself is a meticulously soldered, low flying lightweight construction with a slim double-bridged track style fork.
The rear triangle however is surprisingly long. Of course this is due to the Cambio Corsa mechanism, which needs room for the rear wheel to move fro and back.

What the intention was to combine a straightforward competitive frame with a slightly anachronistic shifting, we do not know. But the outcome in its uniqueness is such a sweet thing that it is impossible not to like it.

A bike that is sure to turn some heads and a not so common alternative for L'Eroica, too.
The complete bike weighs just 8.89kg.
