Beschreibung

Magni Giuseppe - also known as Magni Peppino "Pep" - was an Italian pro-team mechanic. In the 1970s he started a business as bicycle manufacturer. His frames where mainly built by the expert hands of Giovanni - "Vanni" - Losa. The frame builder from Vittuone - a small city close to Milan - manufactured exquisite bicycles, probably most famously the Cinelli Supercorsa from the 1990s to 2008.

Like any other frame built by Losa, this Pep Magni illustrates refined triangular cutouts on the lugs and underneath the bottom bracket with a "V" shape to symbolise his nickname 'Vanni'. The frame itself is made of slightly oversized yet light steel tubes, which promise a strong and stable base for a performance bike. It has been then treated in the famous workshop of Carlo Dossena, where it received the typical paintjob pattern.

What certainly defines the character of this bike is the groupset. Shimano Santé was the top level equipment back in the late 1980s sitting just below the Dura-Ace racing flagship and it has been the first Shimano gruppo to support 7-speed gears (even before Dura-Ace). Many technical innovations and the distinctive white appearance made it simply unmistakable. Parts on this one are nicely preserved and are working exactly like they should - light and precise.

If you are looking for a bicycle with character which doesn't disappoint on any ride, this might be for you.
