The Comete is the world's finest all-aluminium, track-tested racing cycle. Weighing only 22 lbs – 9.97 kg – it combines incredible lightness with high tensile strength and superb styling.
As adverted in a late 80s Peugeot catalogue, the Peugeot Comete was a high-end, lightweight racing bicycle for serious competition. The highlight of this frameset was Pecheny system used to press-fit the aluminium lugs into 5086 aluminium tubes, unlike Vitus – which used to glue lugs into tubes – and Cannondale – which was used to weld lugs and tubes.
This particular Peugeot Comete has been fitted wit a blend of reliable parts, such as Sachs, Stronglight or Weinmann parts.
The right choice for a daily ride without renouncing a vintage touch!
