Beschreibung

Peugeot was one of those early bicycle manufacturers which grew big and succsessful during the 20th century. Their first bike was already built around 1882. But their reputation grew mainly due to their racing activities. Peugeot sponsored racing squads and cyclists from 1903 until 1983.
In this time they managed to win the tour de france 10 times and numerous championships, classics and one day races. Who has not seen the pictures of Tom Simpson and Eddy Merckx, winning the World Championships 1965 and 1967 on a Peugeot?
Over all this success one should not forget about the wide range of racing bikes aimed at the amateur market, which the French company produced and offered. These bikes did benefit quite a bit from the reputation experience Peugeot had built with its racing success. One of these pieces is our Peugeot PA10/LE from 1977. It radiates all that aura of reliability for which the models of Peugeot were known and highly regarded.
The frame is built with Peugeots own 'allege' steel tubes and allows for some competitive riding.
This bike has hardly ever been ridden and is really incredibly well preserved. This would be a perfect ride for historic races. If you are searching for a classic French Eroica bike, this one might be just the ticket. It is perfectly suitable for stylish commuting as well - naturellement!
