Beschreibung

Peugeot was one of the first manufacturers to mass produce bikes successfully in the 20th century. They entered the market in 1882 with their first 2 wheeled product. But it was their success in competition in which their reputation grew. Peugeot sponsored racing squads and cyclists from 1903 until 1983.

Their bikes have taken the top step of the Tour de France 10 times and have grabbed countless championships, classics and one day races. Legends like Tom Simpson and Eddy Merckx, even claimed their respective World Championships aboard these very machines in 1965 and 1967, the Peugeot PX 10.

This Peugeot PX 10/LE from 1977 is very similar to the race winning builds of their era. The tubes are butted Reynolds 531 tubes. As for the components - we have gone the traditional route and kept this frame with Stronglight and Simplex, making it a truly French affair.

This bike begs to go fast with its aggressive profile but is also suited for serious lovers of cycling's history and aesthetic. The condition is outstanding and would enrich any vintage collection. If you are searching for an Eroica bike, this one might be for you.
