Beschreibung
Picchio Special is the top model made by an unsung artisan Angelo Picchio. He crafted many champions' bicycles, including the ones of the winners of The Tour De France, The Giro d'Italia and the World Championships. All his frames werebuilt either by himself, Giuseppe Pelà or Francesco Trentin, who had been a team mechanic for the Torpado team.
This exemplar shows many interesting details like a distinctive Picchio lug cutouts, olympic pantographes on the choromed fork crown and long Campagnolo dropouts. The frame was carefully repainted in the nice metallic red.
This classic bicycle is equipped with a Campagnolo Nuovo Record groupset, which suits the frame perfectly.
