Beschreibung

In 1973 the managers of the prestigious ITLA team reached out to an excellent framebuilder who had been working for Colnago for many years, Mario Rossin. After a short time of planning, they decided that Rossin should build the bikes for the team and at the same time a new brand with his name should be born.

Not much later, in early 1974, Mario Rossin started to build his first frames and equipped them with pantographed parts which should become typical for his bikes.
Naturally the first batch of Rossin bikes went to the ITLA team.
Deriving from their design, the Rossin Record was born. An absolute top class racing machine of its time which was already so well developed that it was successfully built and used for 10 years with only minor changes to the design.

The machine we are presenting here has such a great frame in an earlier 1970s version. The tubing is Columbus SL, the 'jack-of-all-trades' of 1970s Professional frame building steel. As groupset serves of course a Campagnolo Record one, including typically pantographed parts such as seatpost, chainring, stem and brake levers.
The whole setup is nicely finished off with the original branded pump and an Almarc leather handlebar cover

A perfect bike for any vintage cycling event or to impress bike snobs and neighbours alike.
