Beschreibung

Torpado is one of the oldest bicycle makers in the world. Dating back to 1895, the company also branched out to make motorcycles. Clearly obsessed with 2 wheeled transport, the family owned company went through many iterations after the golden era of cycling in the 1960s. They were the second largest manufacturers of bicycles in Italy before being acquired in the 1980s which finally saw their frames reach abroad.

Our Torpado Superlight Eroica Road Bike still stems from the all-Italian times in the 1970s. It shows a restraint when it comes to the decor which is typical for Torpado bikes. Just the small details like filigree seatstay caps and nice cutouts give away that this is a masterly crafted machine.
And when you lift it you will realise that the name 'Superlight' is not just a marketing trick. Despite the fact that the Campagnolo Nuovo Record is a top class groupset, the parts are not the lightest you could find back then. So the fact that this bike weighs just under 9kg is really astonishing - even more when we take in consideration that this it has size 60 frame!

Torpado bikes were built to last a lifetime, and like with most things, get better with age. If you appreciate the heritage of well built bicycles, this Torpado is right for you.

Fully checked by our mechanics, this bike is ready for some more decades on the road!
