Beschreibung

Pasquale Tosi started building bicycles very early.
Born in 1886, he left school to earn money and learn how to build frames. From the age of 13 on, he worked for ten years in famous companies like Umberto Dei and Gilera.
Then in 1908 he was able to establish his own workshop in the small city of Fiorenzuola d'Arda, situated between Piacenza and Parma. There he started to build bikes under the brand name Itos, which was just an anagram of his name (and a slight reference to the latin word for 'go').
His craftsmanship earned him many successful customers in the following years and so the brand's name was finally changed to Tosi.
Not only Pasquale's own son was a victorious champion on the bikes from Fiorenzuola, numerous riders have been served by those masterpieces of craftsmanship, in fact generations. Pasquale stayed in business until high age.

We are very proud to present to you a Tosi road bike from the late 1950s in truly excellent original condition. Compare geometry, lugwork and parts with those of the most famous bikes of this era and you will find that this bike is easily on the same level.
Butted tubes have been expertly connected to form a frame of serene beauty.
All the parts are the best you could find, from the Campagnolo Gran Sport shifting, to Magistroni bearings and Ambrosio cockpit or rims. This is the masterclass of Italian racing bike components.

Even if we have already mentioned the condition, we have to emphasize this again: The paint is in ridiculously good condition and the parts are too.

A rare bike and a very rideable bike as well. Suitable for L'Eroica or to enrich a conoisseur's collection.
