Description
Founded in 1920 in Monza, Italy, the Family Casati has served generations of cyclists with their craftsmanship, their passion and their technical expertise. Bikes which left the Casati factory were always recognized for the greatest accuracy and attention to detail.
The 70th anniversary of the company behoved it to create a special model. It was simply named Settantenario which in Italian means, yes, 70th Anniversary. It was the peak of the offer and just the best frame builders were allowed in the process.
The frame is made of Columbus tubing where the down and seat tube are significantly flattening towards the bottom bracket. The fork is also made of Columbus tubes, lightweight EL Extralleggeri in this case. Apart from the classic Casati features like the two-pronged seat stay ends there are some special details like the little plaquets with Columbus dove logo on the dropouts or the short chromed lugs. This model ought to be a very exclusive and high profile one and so just a few hundreds were made. This one is number 213, as the chrome plated plaquet on the top tube states.
