Description

Giovanni 'Nani' Pinarello, born in 1922, was one of the whole generation of riders from child rich families who chose a career in cycling. In the era of Coppi, Bartali and Bobet, he was quite a successful amateur rider with loads of won races which eventually earned him a contract as professional rider.
The year of 1953 then saw him making his dream come true - by using money which he got as a compensation for handing over his Giro d'Italia starting place for the setup of a bicycle shop and manufacture in his hometown Treviso.

From then on Pinarello bikes became more and more famous, more and more refined.
In 1975 the company finally achieved its first Giro d'Italia victory. And today there are not many brands with a similar number of triumphs in big races.

Here we present you a truly prestigious Pinarello. The classic lugged steel frame underwent a full 24k gold plating treatment and it really shines like a prcious jewel.

Such a frame deserves the best components and the Campagnolo Super Record gruppo in sweet condition was the obvious choice. But it doesn't end there. The brakes have a special black coating and the Cinelli Record stem has been beautifully pantographed and the freewheel is an NOS one made by Regina. To ensure smooth rolling, the bike has been fitted with a wheelset freshly laced in our workshop. It consists of ultra reliable Record hubs, brand new Ambrosio Nemesis black rims and butted spokes.

The bicycle has been checked and adjusted by the expert hands of our mechanics in Berlin: ready to ride!

Condition Used
The bicycle is in excellent condition. The frame has no cracks, no dents and is not bent. The frame received a 24k gold plating treatment. All parts have been checked and are working fine. The bicycle went through a full checkup at Steel Vintage Bikes workshop! All parts were disassembled, cleaned and re-assembled again. The frame was checked for structural integrity and all wearing parts were replaced with new ones. You can expect the bicycle in fantastic riding condition and ready to go for your vintage bike ride.
