Description

Giovanni 'Nani' Pinarello, born in 1922, was quite a successful amateur rider in the era of Coppi, Bartali and Bobet, with loads of won races which eventually earned him a contract as a professional.

The year of 1953 then saw him making a dream come true, by using money - which he got as a compensation for handing over his starting place in the Giro - for the setup of a bicycle shop and manufacture in his hometown Treviso.

This Pinarello Cadore stems from the 1990s, but it shares many details with older models from the 1980s. In many ways it's a traditional steel frame with typical Pinarello lugs and fitted with a classic looking chromed fork with Pinarello pantographes on the crown. On the other hand the brake cable is routed internally.
