Since the early 1950s, the flagship model of the iconic Italian manufacturer Cinelli was one model. Known for the remarkable quality, admired for its elegance and treasured by the cyclists for the superb ride. It remained in Cinelli offer exceptionally long. In fact, it is still made to these days. The early versions are highly praised by the collectors and rare.

First presented as Modello S.C. in the early 50s, it later became Super Corsa and eventually Supercorsa. But there was a brief period where some bikes were labeled as Speciale Corsa. Andrea Cinelli, the son of the founder Cino Cinelli claims, that it was simply due to a mishap. The words Super and Speciale were mixed up by the printing company and a large batch of stickers landed in the Cinelli workshop. Waiting for the new ones would hold the production so Cinelli decided to go on with it anyway and the rare version was born.

This Cinelli Speciale Corsa road bicycle from the mid 1960s is one of them. It features the typical details like the chrome pointy lugs or special seat stay cluster, but notable is also the beautiful and smooth fork crown. As if the Cinelli Speciale Corsa wouldn't be rare enough, our piece is still preserved in its original condition sporting the silver paintjob.

It is also equipped properly with the Campagnolo Record groupset of the time, Universal Mod. 61 brakes and of course the full Cinelli set of Campione del Mondo cockpit and Unicanitor saddle.

This bike is a true legend and in sweet original condition and with great parts it is also a dream come true.
