Description
Classic Fiorelli bikes have many friends in the collectors scene.
Founded in 1932 by three brothers. The company sponsored several teams and riders and was very succsessful. Many famous champions rode Fiorelli bikes. Among them Schotte, Kubler, Koblet, Gaul, Motta and Ole Ritter who broke the world hour record on a Fiorelli frame in 1968.
In the late 1950s, Fausto Coppi wanted to start producing his own classic Italian racing bicycles. He made a deal with Fiorelli in Novi Ligure for the manufacture of bicycles under his name. These vintage bicycles were very similar to Fiorelli's own designs, apart from the finish and branding. When the Campionissimo passed away in a malaria fever in 1960, this contract was still valid and the production of Fausto Coppi branded bicycles continued.
Our Fausto Coppi Campionissimo is a real gem. Stemming from the early 1980s, it is still in the original condition. The frame itself is made of light Columbus SL tubes, connected with cutout lugs. The fork crown in a smooth sloping form sports fine Coppi pantographes.
The parts are top notch too. It is equipped with Campagnolo Record groupset completed with Modolo brakes and shifters in black finish which compliments the paintjob perfectly. The beautiful Coppi pantographs on the chainring, stem and seatpost are icing on the cake. And if that still wouldn't be enough, on top of this post is mounted the Coppi Campionissimo saddle and along the seat tube is mounted the original Coppi pump in the same colour as the frame.
This bicycle is truly a lovely piece of Italian cycling history.
Condition | Used |

The bicycle is in very good condition. The frame has no cracks, no dents and is not bent. The paintwork and decals are all original with some small signs of usage. Underside of the top tube shows oxidation underneath the paint. All parts have been checked and are working fine. The bicycle went through a full checkup at Steel Vintage Bikes workshop! Parts were disassembled, cleaned and re-assembled again. The frame was checked for structural integrity and all wearing parts were replaced with new ones. You can expect the bicycle in great riding condition and ready to go for your vintage bike ride. |
