In 1983, Fontana from Verona went into business as a small bicycle company with a focus on high end modern bikes. There were not many frames made and the design was always evolving, since the team behind was keen to try new solutions and new materials. In the mid 90s, some of last steel Fontana bikes has been made and this one is one of them.

It is constructed using one of the best tubesets around - Dedacciai Zero Uno (18MCDV6) which is totally comparable to the slightly oversized top tubests from Columbus of that time.

Interesting is the routing of the shifting cables, which is completely hidden inside the frame (see the intakes with adjusting barrels brazed onto the head tube). 

And off course "lo squalo" - the shark which cannot be missing on this 90s fine frame.
