Manufactured between 1973 and 1982 in three different versions, the Gios Torino Super Record is - thanks partly to great riders like Roger De Vlaeminck - one of the most winning and most admired bicycles of all time.
The first models – just as this one – were built between 1973 and 1977 with the engraved "GT" fork crowns and cut-out bottom bracket shell, that famous shade of blue, Columbus SL tubing and Campagnolo Record components. At that time Gios Torino provided the Brooklyn Team with this frameset.
This frameset dates back to 1973 and is one of the very first Super Record, easily recongnisable from the BB shell with four cut-outs and not with the usual "GT" engraved shell. As we were told by Gios in Italy, this latter solution was adopted on later Super Record 1st generation models.
The frame underwent a refurbishment at the Gios Torino studio in Italy where it was brought back to its former glory and very typical panache. Afterwards it was built up as a complete machine again - of course with a Campagnolo Super Record groupset.
Rare and appealing. A true piece of cycling history
