In 1939, four years after setting the World Hour Record, Giuseppe Olmo, nicknamed "Gepin", retired from a successful cycling career. Straight afterwards, he set up a bicycle manufacture in Celle Ligure together with his brothers Franco, Giovanni and Michele. The traditional company is still in production today. During the years many excellent bikes have left Celle Ligure to win races all over the world.
The Olmo Competition formed the core of the road bike series. Built with light Columbus SL tubes in different versions during the late 1970 and early 1980s, the Olmo Competition was the top model of the product line. The frame of our Competition has been refurbished and it has been given a cherry red cromovelato paintjob. The effect of these paintjobs is acchieved by full chrome plating of the frame with a translucent paint layer on top. The result is simply stunnig.
As for the equipment, a fine setup with a complete Campagnolo Nuovo Record groupset has been chosen.
A real headturner just perfect for a nice sunny day ride in classic style.
