Information about Modolo

Modolo has been a manufactuer of professional cycling products since 1952. The enterprise was founded by Adamo Modolo and has become one of the finest Italian brake manufacturers. In 1976 Adamo's son, Domenico Modolo joined the firm which further developed their range and ambition to become a successful business, specialising in high quality manufacture.

Modolo's innovative designs

They have introduced a wide range of different high-tech products to the cycling market, including the first road brake-levers with internal cable routine (1980), the first lenticolar carbon wheels (KRONOTECH) (1983-1985) and the first  aluminium “CURVISSIMA” road shape, microposition hands : the evolution of 6and 8  bends (2000). Success which can be credited to Modolo components inculdes, Bernard Hinault's Vuelta de España victory, Laurent Fignon's Tour de France victory, Greg LeMond's World Championship victory, as well as rider such as Giovanni Battaglin, Francesco Moser, Sean Kelly, Eric Le Blanc, Moreno Trabucchi, Elena Giacomuzzi and Annabella Stropparo.
