Peugeot was one of those early bicycle manufacturers which grew big and succsessful during the 20th century. Their first bike was already built as early as 1882. But their reputation grew mainly due to their racing activities. Peugeot sponsored victorious racing squads and cyclists from 1903 until 1983. In this time they managed to win the tour de france 10 times and countless championships, classics and one day races. Who has not seen the pictures of Tom Simpson and Eddy Merckx, winning the World Championships 1965 and 1967 on a Peugeot PX 10? Our Peugeot P60M road bike stems from 1979 and it's frame is made of sturdy Carbolite 103 steel tubes connected with lugs.
This Peugeot is equipped mostly with original French parts like Simplex shifting and derailleurs, CLB brakes, Atax stem or Normandy hubs. With a pair of long Bluemel's mudguards and a sweet little rack in the front it is practical as well.
The cherry on the top are the brand new premium Japanese Panaracer Pasela 32 mm tires, which are not just puncture-protected but also fast rolling and comfortable. The bike has been thoroughly checked by our mechanics and we can recommend it for your everyday ride.
