Bianchi Specialissima X3 Splendid Road Bicycle 1980s

The Bianchi Specialissima is undoubtedly one of the most iconic racing bicycles which the Milanese brand has ever produced. Mostly produced in the famous "Celeste" paintwork, the Specialissima has been developed in different versions which stick out for unique manufacturing and attention to detail. Just as the Bianchi Specialssima X3, a rare model released in the early 1980s and sold for a short time.
The frameset was built with Columbus SLX tubes and differed from other contemporary models for a few, refined details:

• a sloped aero-fork crown
• aero-shaped seat stays and fork blades
• "V" shaped brake bridge

Our Bianchi is even more special for several reasons. It is one of the last ones and shows some rare details like the bottom bracket with Bianchi engraved on top, fully chromed forkor indeed the unusual ivory pearl paintjob. Another reason why this bike stands out is the condition. It has been very well kept and the paintjob but also the parts are in fantastic condition.

As an X3 it is equipped with the best parts of the time - Campagnolo Super Record gruppo with Bianchi pantographes so typical for this pinnacle of road bikes from early 80s. It is also fitted with Almarc leather bar cover and Turbo for Bianchi saddle.
