Up for sale is a rare and extremely refined example of Italian frame-building craftsmanship - the Boschetti Rino Multi Shape.
The Boschetti Multishape road frame is made of Columbus MS (multi-shape) tubing, which was developed in collaboration with Gilco design.
Columbus released the MultiShape tubeset in the late 1980s after each tube on the bike had been designed to a different shape in order to withstand specific stresses. It was made from Columbus' Cyclex steel alloy, thus comes from the same family as Columbus SL, SLX, TSX. It is surprising to see how each frame tube has a unique shape supposed to enhance it´s stiffness without increasing weight.
The top tube is sort of oval with ridges down each side, the down tube is teardrop shaped with pointed edge at bottom, the non drive chainstay is triangular while the drive side is ovalised. Check out the Columbus MS BB shell, there are two sockets to match the triangle and oval chainstays!
The frame and fork have lots of lovely details and pantographs. Just take a look at that chromed lugs and the stunning paintwork! Very nice rear Columbus Dropouts and fork. All stays are chromed.
This piece of art was built by the famous Italian frame builder “Rino Boschetti” from Marano sul Panaro close to Modena in the Emilia Romagna. In the early 1990´s it was about as good a steel frame as you could get. This classic bicycle is fully equipped with the reliable Shimano Dura Ace groupset which functions precise like a clockwork.
This is just the right bike for collectors as well as cycling enthusiast. For someone who loves to ride steel frames and would like to posses a piece of art and cycling history at the same time.

Used. The bike is in good condition. The frame has no cracks, no dents and is not bent. Paintwork and decals are original. Few small scratches or chips. Chrome is excellent. All parts have been checked and are working fine.Bicycle Size
