Description
Ugo De Rosa – widely known as "The Master" – is one of the best frame builders of all time. Not only did he supply many champions with his high-end bicycles (Gianni Motta, Eddy Merckx and Francesco Moser, just to name a few) but also manufactured masterpieces which strongly influenced the cycling industry.
The Strada Record is undoubtedly the top model in the 1970s De Rosa catalogue. Made of Columbus SL steel tubes (a light, butted and particularly stiff tubing), this model illustrates the typical attention to details of Mr De Rosa works, with lugs which have been extremely filed and refined to the latest milimeter possible. Just as the seat stay caps of this 1971 model show!
Fitted with a complete Campagnolo Nuovo Record groupset, this De Rosa Record Strada has been fully serviced in our workshop: ready to ride! The bike is furthermore in pretty much original condition.
A very rare early De Rosa. A vintage bicycle for true connoisseurs!
