Description
Sante Pogliaghi is undoubtedly one of the best Italian frame builders of the post Second World War times. Many champions as Eddy Merckx and countless others rode with his frames, the frame builder from Milan was well known for his skills in building customised steel frames. Despite the fact that he mainly built track frames and tandems, Pogliaghi´s frames were also highly esteemed among road racers.
He can easily be considered the grandfather of modern road bike design who inspired many others like Colnago or Pinarello.
Here we feature one of his stunning road bicycles. This beautifully made frame has its original paintwork which is in good condition. As for the equipment, you will find fine complete Campagnolo Super Record groupset. The wheels laced with Mavic rims on high flange Campagnolo Record hubs. The cockpit is Cinelli and the seat is a leather Selle San Marco Concor.
According to the frame number - No. 12184 - and the letters engraved on the head tube lug - PSM (Pogliaghi Sante Milano), this frame was approximately built 1980 or 1981.
Condition
Used. All original condition with original paint and chrome. The bicycle was fully checked and serviced at our workshop. There are no dents or cracks in the frameset. All parts work fine. The bike has new tires and a new leather seat.Bicycle Size
