The famous Tour de France victory of Greg Lemond over Laurent Fignon is known to many. Lemond gained some substantiation aero advantage mainly thanks to use of the so called tri-bar and has beaten the French favourite Fignon by mere 8 seconds. Lemond was one of the first riders who took the importance aerodynamics really seriously and to keep an edge over his competitiors in this field. After this success he cooperated with the US brand Scott to develope a fully innovative type of bars.

And so the legendary Scott Drop-In bars were born. The specific shape allows you to keep a very low position with hands close together, yet apart of this bent-in section they are a fairly standard drop bars. This a is the Liteflite version which is slightly lighter than the standard version and features the reinforcing ribs inside the tubing.
