In 1942, Mario "Gaibera" Vicini, a professional cyclist, opened a small workshop in the city of Cesena. There he built some exquisite and reliable road bikes which were widely esteemed by cyclists and enthusiasts in the surroundings. Since Vicini did only manufacture a limited amount of bikes, his works are still coveted today.

The Tour de France was Vicini's top model in the late 70s and it shows on the first glance that it's a splendid frame. Made of Columbus SL tubes, it is precisely made with nice cutout lugs, chromed details and the rear shifting cable routed internally inside the chainstay.

Tour de France model had one more unusual solution though. It is adapted for a special modificated Campagnolo front derailleur, which is screwed onto the seat tube. It is really not easy to find such a derailleur, but the standard clamped one works just as well.
