When the mountain bike wave swept over from the US to Europe in the 1980s, Colnago was - after Cinelli - one of the first companies to adopt to the situation.
Akin to their approach on road bikes, their cross country bikes were designed to be up in the top class.
So it was no surprise, that the famous profiled Columbus Profilo S4 Gilco tubing was used for their frames. These tubes were originally drawn for the victorious Master the legendary road bike model. Due to their rigidity the proved to be a good material to form MTB frames from. Consequently the MTBs with these tubes were called Master, too.
And here we present one of these pieces. A Colnago Master Mountainbike from the 1980s. It even still has the original stem and handlebar which were made by 3ttt for Colnago!
Its components a top notch Shimano parts which ensure a nice functionality to this day. For Colnago lovers, for vintage-MTB aficionados and for those who like something a bit more special.
