Beschreibung

The American bicycle producer Trek has always been good for some surprises regarding bike design with the 1980s and 1990s being probably their most innovative decades
In 1995 it was time for Trek to release a new spectacularly designed mountainbike. This avant-garde piece of manufacturing left a massive impression and strongly influenced the market. In the years to come, quite a number of manufacturers tried to copy the design and failed.

The bike in question was the Trek Y33. First thing to mention was the shape of the main frame. The Y-structure gave the bike its name. It was prolonged to the back with a 'unified rear triangle' which was as simple as it was functional in its full suspension setup.
The second feature was the material of which the frame consisted: the OCLV, a high grade carbon fiber, was formed to a monocoque structure which almost resembled a modern sculpture.
Not only was it surprisingly stiff, it also lowered the weight for the whole bike considerably. The whole machine was incredibly lightweight for a full suspension bike and also one of the most expensive mountainbikes available in the mid 1990s.

The iconic piece we are presenting here is equipped with the top notch componentry which you would expect to find on such a legend.
A Shimano XTR groupset ensures that riding the bike is as much fun as looking at it. New Panasonic Smoke tires are turning around White Industries hubs. The Rock Shox Judy SL fork was a real cracker, too

A mid 1990s mountainbike in great condition - for collectors and aficionados!
