Description
Gitane – a name which means 'Gypsy Lady' in French – is a brand which was synonymous with French bicycle racing from the 1960s through the mid-1980s, sponsoring riders such as Jacques Anquetil, Lucien Van Impe, Bernard Hinault (1975–1983), Laurent Fignon, and Greg LeMond
Gitane not only produced high-end professional machines but also reliable and stable amateur racing bikes with a very solid reputation amongst commuters. This particular Gitane Mach 240 belongs to the better part of those, produced in the first half of the 90s of quality steel. Namely Columbus Gara steel tube, which have been joint together with nice lugs. As for the components, this bike is equipped with reliable and well functioning Shimano 105 parts with STI shifters on the bars.
The frame still has the original sparkling green paintjob which really shines under the sun.
Very nice bike which is equilly nice to ride.
