Description
Cycles Mercier is a French bicycle manufacturer founded in 1919 by Emile Mercier in Saint-Etienne, the cradle of French cycling manufacturing.
From the 1930s through to the 1980s they sponsored cycling teams which helped them to establish the status of a high end sports bike manufacture. Many famous Champions like Antonin Magne, Louison Bobet, Rik Van Steenbergen, Rolf Wolfshohl, Raymond Poulidor, or Joop Zoetemelk made the bikes famous the world over.
Our Mercier stems from the early 1970s and it still painted in the original iconic pink colour, famous for Pro Team Gan for example. The steel tubes are connected with beuatiful Nervex Professional lugs and the brake cable uses two braze ons on the top tube - quite modern solution for that time.
As for the equipment, you will find a blend of nice French parts like Nervar crankset, Normandy hubs, Mafac brakes, Belri cockpit, Mavic rims or Stronglight Competition headset.
Fine classic French bike not just for Raymond Poulidor fans!
This bicycle is coming along with the NFT certifying the original purchase and the price.
