Description

Peugeot was one of those early bicycle manufacturers which grew big and successful during the 20th century. Their first bike was already built around 1882 but their reputation grew mainly due to their racing activities from 1903 until 1983.
In this time they managed to win the Tour de France 10 times and a number Championships, Classics and one day races. Who has not seen the pictures of Tom Simpson and Eddy Merckx, winning the World Championships 1965 and 1967 on a Peugeot?
This particular Peugeot PV10 Super Competition from 1980 is one of those splendid bicycles.
The frame is made of lugged steel tubes, in the main triangle made of race proven Reynolds 531.
It still sports the rather beautiful light green paintjob, which instead of some patina still looks so refreshing. You will find high class and beautifully made parts, which were supplied by Stronglight, Simplex, Philippe, Mafac and others. It is equipped with NOS Larcia saddle and offered with a pair of Gipiemme pedals.
High class Peugeots are very popular and the ones which are as well preserved as this one are a rare opportunity.
Completely checked in our workshop, this PV10 is ready to be ridden.
