Description
Gitane – a name which means 'Gypsy Lady' in French – is a brand which was synonymous with French bicycle racing from the 1960s through the mid-1980s, sponsoring riders such as Jacques Anquetil, Lucien Van Impe, Bernard Hinault (1975–1983), Laurent Fignon, and Greg LeMond
Gitane not only produced high-end professional machines but also reliable and stable amateur racing bikes with a very solid reputation.
This particular Gitane M335 from 1994 belongs to the better part of those, produced in the first half of the 90s of quality steel. Namely Columbus Cromor steel tubes, known for their strength while still being fairly light. As for the components, this bike is equipped with reliable and well functioning Shimano RX100 parts with STI shifters on the bars.
The frame still has the original sky blue paintjob which looks amazing even after 25 years.
This bike is a perfect blend of high quality frame, utterly reliable and well functioning parts and attractive paintjob. What's more, the frame and parts are in nice condition and when needed, we have changed the wearing parts for brand new ones. Certainly a great choice.
