Description
Alan vintage road racer from 1975.
Alan was founded in Italy by Falconi Lodovico in 1972. The name ALAN is a composition of the names of his son ALberto and his daughter ANnamaria. And also stands for ALuminium ANodised. ALAN is best known for lugged aluminium bicycle frames.
This bike here is one of the very first aluminium bicycles ever produced. The pre-owner built a really light bicycle, considering the year 1975. The unique combination of an advanced lightweight frame, machined drilled cranks, aluminium and titanium parts makes this road racer to a real milestone in the history of racing bicycles. Our lightweight Alan from 1975 is equipped with the top of the line Campagnolo Super Record group (first generation!). Some parts were modified in order to make them more lightweight. For example all bolts and the hubs and pedal spindles are replaced with light metal substitutes. Lightweight aluminum chain and lightweight rims complete the approach to build the lightest bike in 1975! Please note that we don't recommend riding this bicycle for cyclists with a weight over 80kg.
