Description
Alberto Masi Gran Criterium classic bicycle from the 1980s. Since 1952 the Masi Atelier - located at the famous Velodromo Vigorelli in Milan - has manufactured some of the most wanted road bicycle among collectors worldwide.
Launched in 1970, the Gran Criterium is the most outstanding bicycle manufactured by Masi. Although Masi has never disclosed which tubes he actually used to build his frames, the Gran Criterium was likely built of Columbus SL tubes and rarely of Reynolds 531 tubes.
This Masi Gran Criterium dates back to the 1980s and it is in very good condition. The frame has been professionally restored and repainted with appropriate paintwork and decals. The Campagnolo Super Record first generation groupset (rear derailleur pat. 75), the Galli tubular rims and the NOS Selle Italia Superprofessional suede saddle are an immediately obvious indication that this bicycle has been built with the best and appropriate components of its era.
A very rare and charming classic bicycle in impeccable condition!
