Description

Alois Lang started making bikes in Romanshorn in the 1970's and soon made a name for himself in Switzerland as a master frame-builder. He utilized Reynolds steel primarily in his builds, and his thinly profiled lugs stood out from bulkier frames at the time.

This particular frame dates from the late 1980s and makes a splash on first sight. The faded neon purple and gold paint scheme drips away on the fork and seat-stays to reveal the polished Reynolds tubing that sits beneath. Though we are sure this particular tubing is Reynolds 531, Lang notoriously removed the manufacturers decals when building.

We have given this frame new life with a complete Campagnolo Chorus groupset and topped it out with a striking San Marco Concor Super Corsa in blazing yellow. We are positive you won't mistake this bike for any other.

It is also a reliable bicycle for any vintage cycling event such as for example Eroica!
