Description
Aquila, "the Eagle" is an old Italian brand the history of which reaches back into the 1920s. Later-on the brand seemingly changed ownership and there are rumours that Benotto were partly responsible for the frames.
Whatever the details may be, Aquila bikes were top class machines for many decades. Just like Our Aquila Super Record from 1978.
The frame is elegantly made from Columbus SL tubing, the groupset is Campagnolo Record and fine pantographs can be found on stem and seatpost.
At just 9kg, this Aquila is really light and made soar up hillsides and gently descends down the Strade Bianche of L'Eroica's Strade Bianche. The bike has been checked in every detail and is ready to tackle whichever ride you are planning.
A thoroughbred racing bike with an austere decor - ultimate performance with understatement.
