Description

Atala has a successful racing history which is one of the longest in European cycling.
Founded in 1908 in Milan, Atala sponsored a professional Team from its start well to the 1990s. They won the first Giro d'Italia in 1909 with Luigi Ganna, the second with Carlo Galetti, the fourth as a team. Over the years many famous riders rode for Atala, Giovanni Pinarello, Urs Freuler, Gianni Bugno, just to name a few.
They knew pretty well what a winning bike needs to be like and it was the way they built theirs. An Atala road bike is always good for a race.
Our late 1940s Atala is no exception. It sports the typical grey and blue paint, for which the brand became famous and the typical lugs. The chrome is shiny and it works pretty well especially regarding its age.
This is an authentic bike for collectors or - if you are more adventurous - for a historic bike race.
