Description
Giovanni Battaglin was not only a great stylist as a rider but also an innovative producer of absolute top class racing frames. In fact, a great margin of the legendary Italian steel frames from the 1980s and 1990s had been produced in his manufacture in Bassano del Grappa, many of which for other famous companies.
So to no surprise, this Battaglin classic 1980s road bike is well made. The Columbus tubes are then connected the traditional way with lugs and with nice details like Gipiemme dropouts or the pantographed chromed fork crown. Speaking of chrome, there is plenty of it since the whole rear stays and the fork have been treated with this shiny finish.
As for the compontns, one of the best 1980s groupset has been chosen. Shimano Dura-Ace 7400 series has been race proven and has a reputation of a very reliable and well working groupset even today.
A quality bike which is a treat to ride.
