Description
Giovanni Battaglin was not only a great stylist as a rider but also an innovative producer of absolute top class racing frames. In fact, a great margin of the legendary Italian steel frames from the 1980s and 1990s had been produced in his manufacture in Bassano del Grappa, many of which for other famous companies.
So to no surprise, this Battaglin road bike from the 1990s is very well made. It's frame is made of "Alex" cr-mo steel specific for Battaglin. The tubes are then connected the traditional way with lugs and with nice details like brake cable routing inside the tube. Even though the frame is manufactured traditionally, it shows that it is a true 90s road bike with the short dropouts or indeed the original two-way paintjob.
The componets are period correct too. It is equipped with Campagnolo Veloce and Mirage. These 90s parts, even though they are mid-ranged, are working really good and have elegant appearance with nice finishes.
Both frame and parts are very well preserved on top of it. That means that with a bit of care they will last for many years and thousend of miles on.
A handsome Italian road bike which is in great shape and which you can really enjoy on all kinds of rides.
