Description
Bauer Weltmeister Classic Bicycle from the 1960s. Released in 1953 to celebrate the 1952 world championship won by Heinz Müller on Bauer, the Weltmeister (the German for "world champion) was the top model of this German brand until the late 1960s.
Despite its age, this Bauer Weltmeister is still in great and original condition, which is very rare! This bicycle is really unique and its patina - typical of very old frames - makes it even more charming. The lugged steel frame is built of Reynolds 531 tubes and is equipped with the top of the line high-end parts of the era, such as a Campagnolo gearing, Weinmann Vainqueur 999 brakes and a Stronglight crankset. The cherry on the top is an extremely rare Ideale 90 leather saddle customized by Rebour!
If you are looking for an unusual and highly collectible bicycle, then this is it. Handmade by one of the most talented German frame builders of all times!
